THE THONIER (1908) These handsome boats with multicoloured sails which enlivened the Atlantic and Channel ports at the beginning of this century have gradually disappeared to be replaced by motor vessels. The long slim hull lent itself to the high speed necessary for fishing tunny. They were ketch-rigged with two poles to carry the fishing lines set up at the foot of the mainmast. Overall length: 28.50 m.
